Our inventory brings us to a black-and-white discovery of who we really are at our core. But if we look only at the bad parts of our past, we distort our inventory and open ourselves up to unnecessary pain.
"Let us examine our ways and test them, and let us return to the Lord." Lamentations 3:40
Notice that the verse doesn't say, "Examine your bad, negative ways." We need to honestly focus on both the positives and the negatives of our past.
Have you ask God to examine you lately? If not do so. Let Him encourage you in the areas of your life that you are making good choices, and challenge you in the areas that you are not.
Remember God loves you and wants His best for you.
